What is Touche Critique?
Touche Critique is a blog about wargaming with a clever edge. Its mission is to provide editorial content on lesser-known wargames that often struggle to shine due to the dominance of larger, more popular wargames. The small communities surrounding these miniature games are doing their best to grow—or simply survive. Yet many of these wargames are hidden gems that deserve their moment in the spotlight.

Who are the editors?
The Touche Critique team is made up of several editors. Currently, we cover Star Wars Legion, Marvel: Crisis Protocol, and A Song of Ice and Fire.
Jack Brussell
I’m the founder of this site and also the main editor. Born in 1991 in Brussels, I (re)discovered miniature wargaming in 2020… to the point where I felt compelled to write about it!
This very website was created in January 2022 and was originally intended for french-speaking players with one goal: to provide useful and educational articles for the French-speaking Star Wars Legion community. But after two years, more than fifty articles and good reviews, it was time to share my writings with the rest of the world. So since 2024, I started to translate my posts in English.
Since September 2024, I set out to connect with other wargaming communities, aiming to expand the site’s focus to additional wargames such as Marvel Crisis Protocol and A Song of Ice and Fire.

The majority of articles/posts on this site are intended to be relevant and evergreen. By this, Touche Critique means offering content that teaches tips, techniques or strategies for wargames or even useful resources for gaming sessions. If readers learned something, Touche Critique has fulfilled its mission.
Improving players’ skills and developing their tactical sense
Strategy and tactics guides helps new and old player to perfect their playing. By tackling game design concepts, Touche Critique helps players to get a deep knowledge of the game. Understanding is crucial to improving decision-making.
Developing the French-speaking community of Star Wars Legion
This website acts as a lighthouse for players lost in search engines looking for SWL, MCP or ASOIAF content and players. By pointing to the discord channels of those wargames, Touche Critique helps the communities to grow and meet.
Encouraging readers to leave the screen and meet around a gaming table
Touche Critique is behind the creation of the Star Wars Legion Belgian Discord. Thanks to this forum, everyone can find, meet and play with other players in their region.
